Super Sentai has been on the air in Japan since 1975. Beginning with Zyuranger (1992), Saban used the Zord and Ranger footage from these Sentai shows, and combined them with new footage featuring American actors, creating what we know as Power Rangers. A new Super Sentai series is set to air, called Zyuken Sentai Gekiranger in Japan.
If you have chance to compare the quality of Super Sentai toys and Power Rangers toys, you figure out the quality of them are different obviously. Their parts are usually made by the same mold. However the different material is used to make the parts for each sometimes. When the parts of super sentai toys is made by dei-cast metal, plastic is for power rangers. Also the gold or silver color are realized material color of plastic for power rangers toys instead of color coating for super sentai toys. I assume the maker have tried to keep away from the complaint of Japanese customer because Japanese people are so sensitive for quality. It was big changed of Daibouken/DriveMax Megazord between Boukengar and Power Rangers Operation Overdrive. Bandai does not use same mold for each and the material of parts also is big changed between them. If you are collector of Power Pangers Megazords, I recommend you to purchase super sentai DIBOUKEN instead of power rangers Drive Max Megazord.
